ASTEP friend and volunteer Michael Markham produces photography show in benefit to ASTEP. Below is a personal statement/invite from Michael. Please come and support this spectacular exhibition featuring gorgeous photos from Michael’s many different experiences around the world working with ASTEP.

"As many of you know, I spent a month in Florida last summer -- and 2 weeks in and near Johannesburg, South Africa last fall -- teaching drama at camps created and supported by ASTEP. These were fertile times for me artistically and creatively.

It is my pleasure to invite you to the opening of "art:education:art" It is a window into my experience with ASTEP and a glimpse at some of the children whose lives we touched. These photographs reflect the experiences and adventures that were afforded me during my trips.

I sincerely hope you will join with us at my first photography exhibition!

The opening is on Friday May 14th from 6:30-9:00.

The location: The offices of Redeemer Presbyterian Church at 1359 Broadway, 4th Floor

(On the West side of Broadway between 36th and 37th Streets- Easily accessible from the 34th Street or Times Square subway stops)

There also will be collaborative art, games, various happenings in the ASTEP Idiom and a Silent Auction of all the art with a portion of the proceeds going to support ASTEP and their work. I feel blessed by the opportunity to share the art as well as to give back to ASTEP.
