Are you a student or do you know students who make using the arts to empower youth a primary part of their lives and practice?

Then learn more about ASTEP Student Chapters and apply today!

As ASTEP has grown, the number one question we get asked by students is, “How can we carry out the ASTEP mission in our own communities?”

That’s why ASTEP is connecting with like-minded high school and college students around the country, empowering them to share our mission of using the arts to transform children’s lives.

Our network currently includes student chapters using the arts to change lives at a diverse array of schools. These student chapters lead arts initiatives and hold arts fundraisers in their own communities:

  • ASTEP Student Chapters create and lead Local Community Initiatives
  • Receive up to 8 hours a month of support from an ASTEP Mentor
  • Receive a comprehensive ASTEP Student Chapter Resource Guide
  • Take part in free scheduled webinars with professional artists that emphasize leadership development and how to pursue a profession in the arts field

“Working with ASTEP is truly invaluable—the feeling you get when you know you are simultaneously doing what you love while being able to help and inspire others is one that has only strengthened my connection to my art and to the world.”

— Renee Richard, Emerson College freshman
