Mary-Mitchell Campbell has worked as a music director, vocal coach, orchestrator, and private pianist to some of Broadway's most successful performers. Since moving to New York in 1996, Ms. Campbell has worked on New York productions of Next to Normal, Company, Sweeney Todd, Beauty and the Beast, The Scarlet Pimpernel, The Prince and the Pauper, First Lady Suite, The World of Nick Adams, Our Town, Go Go Beach, The World of Nick Adams, The Screams of Kitty Genovese, The Audience, and Sweet Charity at Lincoln Center. Regionally she has worked on productions 3hree and Embarrassments; internationally: Grace, the Musical (with Cy Coleman in Amsterdam); Green Violin (St. Petersburg) and the recordings of As I Am (Kristin Chenoweth) and 3hree.
She is the music director for the annual Broadway Cares/Equity Fights Aids benefit concerts Dames and Gypsy of the Year and has toured with the Boston Pops and with Tony Award winning actress Kristin Chenoweth. She has performed at the White House, Carnegie Hall as well as internationally in Russia and in Amsterdam where she began work as Cy Coleman’s protégé.
For the past six years, Mary-Mitchell has been honored to serve as the music director for Paul Newman's Hole in the Wall Gang camp's annual fundraising gala. She has also donated her talents to the annual gala tribute performances of Sondheim's works, The Ladies Who Sing Sondheim and Westport Country Playhouse's annual galas in honor of the musical works of John Kander; which raises funds for their artistic and educational programming.
She also holds the distinction of being one of the youngest individuals to ever serve on the faculty at the distinguished Juilliard School. 
Ms. Campbell has had the privilege of working with stage legends Meryl Streep, Jack Nicholson, Tom Hanks, Julia Roberts, Ben Vereen, Rob Williams, Bebe Neuwirth, Eartha Kit, and Anne Reinking.
Her first solo album "Songs I Grew Up On" was released in late 2006. Mary-Mitchell is from North Carolina and holds degrees from the North Carolina School of the Arts and Furman University.
In 2007, Mary-Mitchell was the Music Supervisor and Orchestrator for the Tony-nominated Broadway production of Stephen Sondheim’s Company at the Ethel Barrymore Theater, for which she won a Drama Desk Award. Company was later featured on PBS’s Great Performances (February 2008).
In early 2008, Mary-Mitchell worked on the off-Broadway musical Next To Normal featuring Alice Ripley and Brian d'Arcy James. She is currently working on Little House on the Prairie at the Guthrie Theater and is participating in pre-Broadway development of The Addams Family Musical scheduled for the 2009-2010 season.
